How We Helped Our Client Rank #1 On google

Do you know that about 90% of people searching for any product, service, or information on google do not click past the first page? Yes, you heard me right. So, as a business owner, you have almost zero chance to reach your potential clients if you are not on the first page of google search results.

So, if you are the one that not only wants to get into the first page of google search but also wants to rank first, you have come to the right place.

Welcome to our case study! Here we will give you a stepwise explanation of how we accomplish this target for our client in just three months’ duration. So, just keep reading if you also want the same.

Phase 1: Analysis Of The Current Website

Before starting with applying any improvement techniques, we first conduct an in-depth SEO analysis of the current website. This involves multiple onsite and offsite elements of the client’s website. Some of the most essential tools to mention are Google search console, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog.

Here is a short breakdown of the website analysis result:

Once we had an idea about the key problems in the website, we conducted keyword research and chose two niche local key phrases for the pressure washing business.

Phase 2: Developing The SEO Strategy

In the 2nd stage, we put all our efforts into three major actions. This includes:

  • Onsite optimization
  • Backlink improvements
  • Adding quality contents

Let’s discuss the above points in detail:

Onsite Optimization:

Onsite optimization is a key point to improving your online visibility. Let’s understand it more clearly: the title tags and headings added on the multiple pages of your website are the first things that google bots will crawl on.

Unfortunately, our poor client wasn’t aware of it. And using the H1 headings across multiple pages. At the same time, they are also using the business name as the title tag across the whole site.

We optimized the basic headings and title tags along with the meta descriptions. Then proceeded with restructuring the website in a way that the bots could better understand it.

We did it by adding some contextual links and making some necessary technical improvements.

While looking at the technical issues in the website, we came across a major issue: low page speed. So, with the help of our team, we made all the necessary changes that are slowing down the website speed. Like: removing unnecessary plugins, installed caching, removing 404 errors, and Image optimization.

Let’s discuss the significance of 404 errors for ranking improvements

The 404 error will not directly impact your google ranking. However, if your website contains a few broken pages, the google bots will spend time crawling those pages. Leading to a significant loss in total crawl time.

Meaning, that google bots will now spend less time on the valid essential pages, missing the necessary content. This will negatively impact your ranking over time.

Image Optimization:

Many people often don’t understand the importance of image optimization. But, if you want to improve your google rankings, avoid making this mistake. Image is a necessary part that adds visual appeal to your website and gives a quick description of the page’s content. Also, don’t forget to add an alt t and a title.

Adding Backlinks:

Backlinks are one of the most sought-after solutions in the SEO world. In the case of this “pressure washing” client, we first checked the profile of the existing link. This helped us find out whether the valid backlinks are contributing to or harming our client’s website authority.

Here are the things we inspected:

  • The page rank distribution
  • Social metric distribution
  • Traffic on the backlinks domains

In the case of this “pressure washing” client, we have to remove some of the backlinks that are harming the website. Once done, we added some of the guest posts.

Adding Quality Content:

“Content is the king” you might have already heard the line. Good content is the key to readers’ engagement and conversion. We first categorized the content as an authoritative and supporting page.

And next, came up with one AP of 3000 words and multiple supporting pages with words ranging between 800-1000 words.

Apart from this, we also added a FAQ section on pressure washing.

Phase 3: Campaign Outcome

In a single word, we achieved what we have been working for: RESULTS. We achieved the first position on page one for the keyword “ Pressure Washing in>>>”!

It took us around three months to achieve results that exceeded our expectations.

Ultimately our efforts paid off, and we got a well-satisfied and happy client willing to work with us on his further projects.

Here are some of our main takeaways from this case study:

  • Competitive analysis and keyword research are the keys
  • Do create a Nice topic Cluster
  • On-page SEO optimization is the groundwork. Be sure to keep all your web content perfectly optimized
  • Build valuable links

Good luck, and may your efforts pay off.
